One of the chief causes of the connection / spinning wheel issues people have been experiencing is the extra load facebook is putting on our servers and bandwidth. We're working on a fix, but in the meantime we have temporarily disabled facebook chat. It will be back up as soon as we have a found a solution.

Sigh. Gotta love facebook. Even their 'official' app is terribly slow.

Beejive is continuing to sent my push notification for facebook even if network is disabled!

I hope this gets fixed, because Facebook IM is the ONLY reason I bought this app....

I only use Facebook chat on the official web site for an important reason. I used it on Adium until my Facebook account got disabled. FB said my bandwidth use was extremely high. This was an Adium bug. But no matter what, I don't take that risk anymore, not even on Beejive. Luckily I got my account back after I did some investigating and told FB what happened. I was without FB for 3 weeks
