The number of accounts / buddies will affect battery life - the more updates you recieve for accounts & buddies (status changes, etc) the more radio usage there is, and the more battery is used. The 3G radio uses more power than the Edge radio, so you'll see more battery drain with the bold / storm / tour.

That being said, we're implementing changes to reduce radio usage while the app is active & idle. These changes will be in the next Storm beta & in the 2.0 version for all BB models with OS 4.2.1 & up.

I'm hoping to get the next Storm beta out next week...

i have the blackberry storm on att
using version .148

the beejive app always signs me off after an hour (timed out).
It would also sign me off and sign me back in when i open the app
i have the EDGE and not the edge up.

the connection is set on bis and direct= socket

This doesnt happen when i use the bb aim.
i could really use help i prefer the beejive app since its the best out there

okay, so i had the blackberry curve and i purchased beejive on it and then i switched to the storm and managed my license and switched them over but now when i sign onto beejive from the storm it tells me error 500 something like that and its not working..

It's complete random... your other apps might be working today, but they might disappear tomorrow. I have had this happen several times with beejive, gmail and a couple of other apps.

At least I can send and receive messages with this version. But I still get logged out fairly often, and it KILLS my battery. Even with the BIS email setup my battery is toast within 5-6 hours.

yea my battery is killed to, would love the option to setup timed update intervals, or the option of a refresh button we could refresh our list manually.
