The 1.0.1 preview build is for 4.2 OS devices only. IT WILL NOT RUN ON 4.0 or 4.1 OS. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR FILE TRANSFER FEATURE: - 8100, 8300, or 8800 series BlackBerry device - Installed MicroSD Card Troubleshooting Tips: - Make sure you set the application permissions for JiveTalk to "Allow" for accessing files. - Make sure you have "Mass Storage Mode" turned off (it should be off by default) when trying to send or receive file. With it on, the application will not be able to access the file system. - For the best results, it's recommended that you set the transport option for JiveTalk to TCP. In order to use TCP, you must have your APN setting configured correctly, otherwise you will get an "Open Tunnel" failure. Major Features in this build: - File Transfer support (AIM only). You can exchange files with any other AIM client that supports standard AIM file transfers. * To initiate a file transfer, select "Send File" from either the chat screen or the buddy list. NOTE: the buddy must be using a client that supports file transfers. * When a buddy wants to send a file transfer to you, you will be prompted to accept or deny the request. If accepted, you can save the file with a name and to a directory of your choice. * When receiving files, by default the files are saved to the default location based on the file type (/Media Card/BlackBerry/picture, etc.). If the file type is not natively handled by the BlackBerry device (e.g. PDF or word doc), it will default to /Media Card/JiveTalk. * When receiving files, if the received file is handled by the device, you can automatically open the file. The file is also hyperlinked inside the chat itself. * If using TCP transport, there are currently no limits to the size of the file that can be transferred. * If Using BIS or BES transport, there is currently an upper limit of ~512 k for the size of a file that can be transferred. * Transfer speeds vary greatly depending on network conditions. We have been averaging about 10 Kb/sec in testing over EDGE networks. Minor Changes and Bug Fixes: - AIM profiles are always updated. Displayed in the buddy list rollover when available, or inside Buddy Info when away. - Changes in buddy list sorting for conversations. All conversations are grouped at the top even when using the "No Groups" option for grouping. Conversations no longer appear at the top inside groups themselves. - Status change error when changing all accounts from invisible now fixed. - MSN login race condition fixed, where buddies would appear in wrong groups. - Yahoo Invalid Status error fixed
