Buddy Pounce
Buddy Pounce allows you to be notified when a specific buddy comes online. There are 2 types
of buddy pounces in JiveTalk. You can set a one-time buddy pounce to be notified the next time
the buddy comes online, and not be notified again, or, you can set a persistent buddy pounce to be
notified everytime the buddy comes online.
When the buddy comes online, a global popup dialog will prompt you whether you want to start a chat
with the buddy. The buddy pounce is also an alert event registered with your BlackBerry's alerts profiles,
so you can configure custom Vibrate/Sound/LED settings for the event. See the
alerts profile section for information on how to configure custom alerts.
To set a buddy pounce, highlight the buddy on the buddy list and select "Set One-Time Pounce" or "Set Persistent Pounce".
When a buddy pounce is on, an alarm icon will be displayed to the right of the buddy's name on the buddy list.
To clear a buddy pounce, highlight the buddy and select "Clear Pounce".

Messages From Non-Buddies
When someone not on your buddy list sends you a message, you will be prompted to accept the message,
dismiss the message, or view the message later.
If you choose to dismiss the message, the message will be silently dropped and the sender of the message
will be ignored.
If you choose to accept the message, you will be brought to a chat screen to start a conversation with the
person. At the end of the chat, after you have selected "End Chat", you will be asked whether you want to
add the person to your buddy list. If you choose Yes, the person will be automatically added.
